Melissa Haft’s career demonstrates her design thinking at every scale, from one-of-a-kind residential interiors to complex, large-scale hospitality developments. Melissa began her design journey at Annette English + Associates nearly 2 decades ago, honing her eye for luxury residential design and working with collaborators executing at the highest level.

She then built an extraordinary leadership career spanning some of the most recognized names in hospitality, including Hyatt Hotels, Kimpton Hotels, and Miraval Resorts, where she oversaw the creative direction, planning, and development of dozens of luxury properties across the Americas. Most recently, as a Senior Owner’s Representative at Peak Projects, Melissa served as a trusted strategic advisor to ultra-high-net-worth clients, guiding them through the most complex and ambitious turnkey residential developments from conception through completion.  

Now, Melissa has come full circle, returning to AE+A as Chief Executive Officer—bringing with her a rare breadth of design fluency, operational expertise, and client-first leadership. In this role, she is committed to ensuring that every AE+A client receives the most innovative, creative, and high-touch design experience possible.  Under her oversight, she continues to elevate and expand AE+A’s commitment to exquisite design, meaningful client collaboration, and the creation of spaces that are both beautiful and purposeful.
