With a passion for design and an intuitive understanding of her client’s needs, Annette English has become the go-to interior designer for Los Angeles’ A-list. An Australian native with over 16 years of experience, Annette’s work has caught the eye of numerous prestigious publications including LUXE Interiors + Design Magazine, which named Annette a “2011 National Tastemaker” and The Franklin Report, where Annette was dubbed one of L.A.’s top designers.

Annette’s firm, Annette English and Associates, enjoys a reputation far beyond the reaches of California. She and her team of experienced professionals have designed interiors across the U.S. and around the world, from a family home in the Carolinas to an 8,000-square-foot villa in Shanghai, restaurants and private residences in San Francisco, and beach getaways in Australia.

Not surprising for a globe-trotting designer with a penchant for glamour and exotic locales. Annette spent eight years traveling the world—living in Portugal, London and New York—before settling in San Francisco, where at the age of 28 she founded two successful companies and managed a staff of 30. When one of those companies, a critically acclaimed restaurant, garnered as much praise for Annette’s design of the interior as for the food, she discovered her true passion.

She was soon running multi-million dollar projects for a high-profile San Franciscan designer’s residential and commercial clients. Moving to Los Angeles in 1998, Annette attracted the same exclusive clientele to her own firm, where she leads a team that is well-versed in a broad range of design fields including luxury hotels, restaurants, custom furniture design, landscape and lighting design. Highly regarded for creating elegant, timeless designs that channel her client’s vision, Annette’s work can be seen in a variety of homes from Hollywood film stars to high-ranking business CEO's to cultural leaders, all of whom sought out Annette’s collaborative approach and capacity for managing every detail of complex projects.
